History of [777]

[Wraith]

The Beginning

The [777] Clan has been around for about 2.5 years or so and was at one time the leading Halo clan. [777] was created in February of 2006 by Wraith and Rand for the members of the 777 Boyscout troop. The original founding members of [777] are as follows:

We originally weren't going to take on any outside members since this was supposed to be just a fun clan of friends. But after us being a clan for a couple weeks we were already generating a lot of interest. So Rand and I talked it over, and decided to start taking on more members. Right away we took on a couple more members including Havoc, Goku, Sin, and Virus.

At this point we re-evaluated our mission statement so to speak. We had started getting a lot more interest, and people were really starting to wonder who we were. After more talk, we decided we were going to try our hand at making a top notch clan with some of the best Halo players in the game. Some of the things we decided upon were to create a forum, get us some servers going, and then to start actively start recruiting ONLY top notch players for our base.

Rand created our first forum and didn't like it, another one, didn't like it. Finally Goku created one that we ended up using till we were hacked the first time. We then worked on getting some servers up and running, and had our first one up in April.

Now we had all the right things to make a clan: Forums, Servers, Good People, and Skill to recruit more good people.


The Melting Pot

In July we had gotten to be around 30 members. But from July till November of 2006 we started accumulate large numbers of people from other clans. Thus creating us a Melting Pot of good, experienced halo players. These following clans started to experience problems which ended with us aquiring at least a couple members, and in many cases the majority of that clan

We start off with the DS clan folding first, and [777] ended up gaining all of their leaders Fierce, HappyG, and Marine. The DS clan split up for the most part with people going to us, AOH, KSG, and $$.

Before the folding of DS, AOH's leaders had already started getting aggravated with the rampant aimbotting on Halo, and were working to create software to detect the bot. They had completed a beta, but it wasn't working up to par, and the leaders werebecoming aggravated with the whole game. AOH~Domin8r decided to fold his clan he had created and suggested that the members go to either [777], ='=, or EvO. We ended up gathering most of the previous AOH members under our tags including two of their leaders AOH~Wraith, and Phoenix.

A short while later KSG then called 1sk folded and we aquired a couple of their members.

In November a large portion of the $$ clan had become slightly disgruntled over the fact that a lot of their clan had quit playing Halo to play an MMORPG or to play something else all together. With few admins to regulate the servers, and not as many active halo players, a large contingent of their active halo players came over to [777] looking for a new home.

The Good Times, and The Bad Times

[777] can't say we have not had our fair share of hard times. We have had numerous Botters banned from our clan. We saw AOH~ Reform and us lose a large portion of the members that originally came to us(unfortunatly they were hacked too, but we got some of the members back). We have had our forums hacked 4 times and had to start over.

But through everything we have overcame it all. We continue to grow, and have even decided to expand our clan from just Halo to an FPS clan, with our first branch into CS:S, and other branches to Silkroad Online and Call of Duty 4
